The tourist board is using Visitor Review as their offical social media solution, and has benefited from an influx of reviews and rich media content through Visitor Review. The site is also being fed user generated content from other Visitor Review platforms around the UK.

'Enjoy Every Minute' video campaign

A recent campaign has been launched by VisitEngland calling on the British public to share how they make the most of one minute in England for a chance to win 10,000 minutes of English Holiday – you may have even seen the TV advertisement supporting this.

The 'Enjoy Every Minute' campaign requires people to submit a video, one minute in length, showing how they make the most of a minute in England, from walking through an especially beautiful bit of countryside, to playing in the mud, to sharing a cup of tea with friends in a tea house, to bungee jumping off the Transporter bridge.

Since September 2009, VisitEngland has been using Visitor Review as their official social media solution, and has since received thousands of text reviews, photos and videos. This has significantly increased the exposure for destinations and individual tourism providers on a national and international level.

As a result of the Visitor Review success, VisitEngland will now utilise their social media solution to support the campaign and to gather and showcase all of these one minute videos.

As a particularly emotive media form, video makes a strong impact and can be more inspiring than photos, printed media or virtual tours. By calling on the British public to enter their one minute video, this campaign will not only be providing website browsers with stimulating and exciting videos, but will also improve the interactivity of the site by encouraging the public to get involved.

The videos for the ‘Enjoy Every Minute’ campaign, will be rated by members of the public with the submitter of the highest rated video receiving 10,000 minutes of holiday...so how do you enjoy one minute in England?
