Developing African E-Tourism
Digital Visitor is proud to be a part of the
E-tourism Africa
initiative that started in early 2008. As a key member of this project, Digital Visitor had agreed to giveaway over £250,000 of marketing to African leisure and tourism providers in bid to boost tourism to the continent.
Digital Visitor is investing in the leisure and tourism industry in South Africa by giving away 500

platforms to leisure and tourism businesses in Africa. Digital Visitor is offering businesses a white label, user-generated media platform that will allow visitors to the websites to upload comments, photos and videos. Ultimately the aim is to
increase enquiries and bookings
by increasing the browsing time spent on their websites and by engaging customers with continuous and newly posted content.
Digital Visitor’s managing director Anthony Rawlins commented “The main obstacle facing African leisure and tourism is quality, trustworthy content. I cannot think of a better solution, nor a better way of
enhancing the marketing of this incredible continent,
than user generated content. The leisure and tourism offering of Africa outweighs every country I have visited and we just need to show potential visitors what is here with more imagery and video."
