Bristol’s iconic multi-award winning visitor attraction, Brunel’s ss Great Britain, was recently the first attraction to launch Digital Visitor’s new multi-media review platform,
Visitor Review.
Visitor Review is designed to bring the
benefits of user generated content to a business’s own website whilst offering a level of content control not offered by current third party review sites.
Sophina Jagot, Marketing Officer for Brunel’s ss Great Britain, who has been leading the project, said: “This technology provides visitors with the opportunity to upload their reviews, pictures and videos, and rate others’ contributions. It uses a familiar online video layout , and will add a very special element to our website. We will also be able to use this technology to promote campaigns and encourage people to participate in competitions.
“Staff and volunteers are very proud that once again Brunel’s ss Great Britain is adopting cutting-edge technology – more than 160 years after the ship’s launch.”
Director of Digital Visitor Anthony Rawlins commented: “Visitor Review is a groundbreaking technology allowing businesses to make the most of user-generated content on their own website.
“Our company is based in Bristol and we were very keen to launch our new technology in Bristol and we are delighted to be working with such an icon of the city and one of the country’s leading tourist attractions. User-generated content will become a key part of most marketing plans and it’s great that Brunel’s ss Great Britain are the first to embrace this technology.”
Visitor Review had a ‘soft launch’ at the Travel Distribution Summit run by Eye for Travel in London and see the relevant news article to find out more about the reaction.
