Gaymers General Video
The Gaymer Cider Company is the second largest cider manufacturer in the world, producing and marketing various different ciders from their plant in Shepton Mallet, Somerset. Some of the more popular ciders made by Gaymers include Blackthorn, Addlestones, Gaymers Original Cider and Gaymers Orchard Reserve. In a bid to dominate the cider market, Gaymers initiated a £4 million music-related multimedia marketing campaign designed to promote the Gaymers brand amongst its target audience of young adults.
As the official sponsor of some of the UK’s most notable music festivals,
Gaymers required a promotional video to advertise some of their newest brands.
With cider making a massive revival in 2008, video provides the perfect opportunity to advertise the Gaymers brand whilst simultaneously addressing a large proportion of their customer base. This video features their target audience of young adults, socialising and drinking Blackthorn, Addlestones and Gaymers Original. The video also promotes Gaymers Olde English Cyder, which is similarly making a comeback during recent times. In order to really drive home the Gaymers identity, the video captures the company logo stamped on the apples at the start of the
promotional video
as well as at the close.
This video has endless promotional ability, having been distributed at the aforementioned music festivals as well as online. By using this video in email signatures and through viral marketing campaigns, Gaymers can capture maximum viewers at minimum cost.
